Chocolate Whiptail Catfish

Wild Caught - Brazil

Size: 8 - 10cm

Max Adult Size: 10 - 12cm 
Temperature Range: 23 – 27 C
PH Range: 6.5 – 7.5
Diet: Grazes on the biofilm and algae around the aquarium.
We'd recommend mostly algae wafers, finely crushed veggie/algae based flakes, Pleco Pops, Repashy Soilent / Super Green gel foods, and frozen foods.
They will however be quite happy to take a variety of prepared foods. As a treat, they enjoy green vegetables like courgette. For some interesting feeding activity offer live food like Daphnia! 
Habitat: Ideally suited to a tank with a soft substrate and plenty of vegetation and other organic structures. These will benefit from plants, wood and other organic structures. They quite like thin vertical sticks and branches to hang on to as well as leaf litter, seed pods etc. They breed in tubes/long caves.
